Impact

Michigan State Champs - Heading to Worlds April 2024

Thirteen years ago, the TECHNADOS started out as a way for our Mentor Pat and his son to grow together through a common interest; engineering. So, when his son was in 5th grade they started a FLL team with friends of his son’s. This was not for the aspiration of winning everything, but for the opportunity to have fun and engineer together. After joining FTC a year later and then continuing for 3 more years in FTC, our mentor’s daughters joined the team during their 6th grade year to sustain the legacy as well as the exuberance of the experience.

During these 13 years of doing robotics, the purpose was never to construct a legacy. The purpose instead was to share FIRST’s mission and to win people’s allure for engineering and problem solving. It was to demonstrate to people that with a solid effort it is possible to progress from an amature to a wholly performing team. We originated as a small team who sought to find and broaden the diverting qualities of engineering while coming to recognize the extent of FIRST’s impact.

Our legacy we believe is our mission. To construct a robot, demonstrate gracious professionalism, assist others in succeeding, fabricate new fellowships and expand the knowledge of the engineering field and FIRST throughout our community and others. Because of this mission, over our thirteen years of robotics we were able to help our FIRST program flourish
in Clarkston and help bring kids from different events we have done into FIRST. We, to this day, aspire to continue to fulfill these tasks.
